Fiberglass Filters and Mesh

Fibreglass mesh, socks and bags for filtering molten aluminium

Overview

What it is and where it works

Woven E-glass fabric for filtering oxides and dross from molten aluminium and calming flow, supplied in rolls or sewn into spout socks, launder socks, combo bags and filter trays. Leno weaves keep hole size stable; plain weaves filter finer. Fabric is resin-treated to hold the weave. We source by mesh, weave and sewn shape.

Buyer questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Mesh or ceramic foam filter?

Fibreglass mesh removes coarser oxides and calms flow at low cost; ceramic foam captures finer inclusions. Many plants use both at different points.

Can you make bags to my size?

Yes, send the drawing or a sample and we have it sewn to that shape.
